Privacy and analytics at BeachRentalsMaine
BeachRentalsMaine uses limited website measurement to understand which guides and planning tools are useful. Analytics events are not designed to include names, email addresses, phone numbers, inquiry text or booking details.
What information is used
Website measurement may include pages viewed, device and browser information, general traffic-source information, and interactions such as opening a parking map, using the Tide Planner, following an official planning resource or clicking a local vacation-rental provider.
This information is used in aggregate to improve navigation, content and planning tools and to understand which beach guides are most useful to visitors.
Analytics and measurement
BeachRentalsMaine uses Google Tag Manager to manage measurement code. Analytics storage is denied by default and is enabled only after a visitor chooses to allow analytics. When enabled, website-usage events may be sent to Google Analytics 4. Advertising storage and advertising-personalization signals remain disabled in the site's current setup.
Referral links and third parties
When you click a local vacation-rental provider, BeachRentalsMaine may record that outbound click as a website-usage event if analytics is enabled. BeachRentalsMaine does not currently add personal information to those links. Clicking an external rental company, town, NOAA or Maine Healthy Beaches link takes you to a third-party website governed by that site's own privacy practices.
Your choices and policy updates
Browser privacy settings and any consent controls presented by the site can affect analytics technologies. This page may be updated as measurement tools, site features or privacy practices change. The date below is revised when material changes are made.
